I am really shy and quiet around my boyfriend's friends, is this a problem?

we just started dating really recently, so I feel weird bringing this up to him so soon. guys, would you not like it if your girlfriend was really shy around your friends? I just have nothing in common with them and they are all so loud and drink a lot I just get really shy and kind of hang around my boyfriend. he always has he arm around me and will say stuff to me so I'm not left out or uncomfortable, but I can't tell if he wants me to talk to them more or something..

well if you don't know them that well its normal to not be that comfortable and not be sure what to talk to them about , things will get better over time and you'll get more comfortable with them

It will give them the impression that you're shy or that you don't like them. As long as you make it clear that you do like them (or, at least, tolerate them), it should be fine.
