I'm working on getting over my fear of it, it's really debilitating and unhealthy. All these years I've just avoided situations where I might face rejection, but I'm starting to get over that and take chances.
Yes, that fear is majorly embedded in my psyche--not just for the abrupt ones but subtle and minute ones as well--that I don't lose myself to people even while expressing myself to them. It does play a predominant role.
My best friend is dating a guy I have liked since June. They are still together, that is a huge shocker! Well anyways when they breakup I am scared of being rejected me and him used to talk like dating wise. Now we are really good friends. He is having a bonfire tonight and not inviting his girlfriend but he is inviting my cousin and I. Like what the fuck.
I try to not let negativity get in the way of me pursuing someone. If rejection comes my way I'll feel hurt & I give up on the guy, but I'm not going to give up on love.
Ya for me it kinda does. I asked my crush if he liked me and he said "just as a friend." So now i am kinda scared of doing that again bc it hurt. But i know that its better to try and fail at first, then to not try at all.

Yes there was an empty chair next to the guy I like but I didn't sit next to him because I didn't know if he would want to be seen sitting next to a fat girl.
Depends on the situation. I used to be terrified of rejection, now it's just something that exists that it can happen or not, it's up to me to take the risk and find out. Which I usually do.

I used to fear rejection but not anymore think about it the worst thing the other person can say is 'no'. I have blown too many opportunities in the past because of this and not enough girls take the initiative either.
Story of college for me man. Regret having that mindset. Having moved on from that way of looking at things, know that that mentality only holds you back from good opportunities.
Yes In dating I've never ever asked out a girl or anything just because I know I'd be rejected. In terms of everything else I would say my fear of rejection effects my ability to do anything really

It doesn't change me, Im used to getting rejected ALL the time so, its natural for me. Id be surprised if I didn't get rejected.
So the "I'm married" thing was just a joke? Haha!
What married thing?
I thought I saw a post of yours that said you were married... it's been a while, maybe it was someone else, haha!
Yea, I think you mistaken me for someone else :)
Oh well, haha! Sorry :-P

it does, the fear of rejection makes me more cunning and subtle about things.
been rejected many times. I just roll with it. Its a fact of life
if someone isn't doing something they should be doing, they either fear it, or they're being lazy
yes,
fear is more powerful than love.. its our very instinct for survival..
animal instincts
its "lion chasing rabbit and rabbit running from lion world " out there..
I'm working on not fearing rejection
I'll keep this simple, Yes!
Yes. I always hate asking people stuff.
