A woman who has no idea how to be a man because she isn't a man telling men what makes a man a "real man", no wonder she posted this anonymously.
I have a beard but I guess I am "not a real man". What a load of tripe this this.

So you shouldn't be a man of honor, you shouldn't respect your significant other or your mother, you shouldn't take responsibility for your own actions, you shouldn't have dreams, you shouldn't be a good friend... if you have a problem with the actual items listed here, which I would think most of which you are probably already doing, then by all means, challenge them, but this is my POV on what a real man is, as stated, based on the good men in my life... friends, family, and co-workers... real men that exist and are these things. Just because a woman said them, does not make them any less true.
You are in no position to tell any man how to be a man or what constitutes a real man. No wonder an increasing number of men are following the MGHOW and MGTOW with attitudes like yours in display.
You raise good points and I agree with every single one but I take exception to a woman dictating to me how I should behave, how I should act and how to be a man. I find it pompous, condescending and patronising.
You are perfectly capable of exercising your free will, yes? I have no control over your life, yes? This is a list on the internet written by a total stranger, yes? You are going to do what you are going to do and define yourself how you'd like to define yourself. I'm listing what I think a man is based on my own experiences being around men. That is all. If you agree with the points, it is what it is. Go and be happy man, or can you not do that because a woman told you to, ha ha.
How to be a real man: 1. Follow your own creed instead of stuff on the internet. 2. Stay true to your creed. 3. Do not stop to care about whether others think if you are manly or not. 4. ? 5. Profit.
Solid list but seriously, This is how to be a decent- adult. not how to be a man. I wonder what kind of crazy expectations you have of Women, if this is supposed to only apply to men.

When women have to write take telling men how to be men... that's how you know feminism went too far. But i don't care anymore, i'm my own person anymore and i don't need a girl to tell me what i should do anymore. Women confuse me. Pity you women are stuck with pussy boys now. Sucks doesn't it... well good. deal with it
Also a man must have codes, honor codes, respect codes, moral codes, etc.. Also ethics and stands up for what he believes in, also a man knows hoe to drive his gf/wife bonkers lol yet knows when to joke and when its time to be serious

That's true. A sense of humor and being able to just laugh at yourself or conversely make your partner laugh, and bring in some levity goes along way.
You are an admin and you are defending this take and suggesting we should take note of this. This is sexist and insulting to men. We don't need to be told how to be a man by women. There are always takes usually by the editors, gurus or moderators of this site similar to this. And feminists are always telling men how to be men.
@bobbyxx If you're offended by this, you're going to be offended by everything. And you may not have noticed, but there are plenty of Takes by men about what they want in women, and how they think women should act.
@bobbyxx If you are insulted by this, by all means, explain what offends you here (other than the fact that you're offended that I'm a woman writing about men). I hardly think you truly know the definitions of sexism of feminism. I'm neither advocating for social, political, or economical equality or equal women's rights here, nor am I using prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination to talk down to your gender. If you stroll through the comments you'll notice a lot of them mention that this take could apply to people in general. Aside from that, I stated from the very first paragraph that being a man means different things to different people, not, this is the only way a man can be a man. These are ways in which the men in my life stand out as being real men to me--and hopefully others relate, and they have.
Mytake owner, you don't need to justify yourself to that guy. He clearly has his own issues he's dealing with. Issues that have embittered him towards how men should be as well as his view of women. I'll again applaud you for putting this in print for the men who want to better themselves in life and love as well as cementing it for guys who already try to live in this manner. Guys who fail to accept women's advice are missing 50% of their potential knowledge.
Good take i guess, but it seems that this "Real Man" is not what females in my age group are looking for so ill keep being a dirty, cheating, douche bag for now :) No but really nice take. Missed some things but over all good.
Not that I in any way diasgree with these. But the term "real man" is highly subjective. These are solely your opinions as to what makes a real man. There is no absolute definition as to what makes a man real.

I gather you might have skipped my intro, but thanks.
There is! You just need to have XY chromosomes, be a human and be at least 18 years old. Bam! You're a real man: You can be touched, you can be smelled, you can be talked to, you are real.
lol very true, the term real can also be referring to ones existence. Here she's most likely referring to the other definition of the word real. Genuine, true, authentic etc. that definition lol. But yes good observation there.
Here we go, another take from a naïve, sexist and controlling women telling men how to be men, and you don't think the same applies to women. I think you should leave it up to us men to decide what makes a man. Now bore off.

As I've said to just about everyone on the, omg, you're a woman train, read the list and tell me what about this list is something you or other men in your life aren't already doing or striving to do. Your only problem is that it's coming from a woman, and not that it's fundamentally wrong in anyway. Whether I wrote man, woman, or people in the title, it still applies. And I wrote this take, and you came here to read it. If you're bored, you know where to go, lol!
I really don't understand how some guys would find this offensive. All guys should endorse this.

Most of the negative comments have been guys to prideful to admit that some of this is very true or they just refuse to read anything written about men, by a woman. As I've said to quite a few... you know, actually read it, and then tell me what you find so negative about what I said. Most of the ones that have gone back and read it, can really not find all that much fault there other than they don't want a woman telling them how to be a man.
This didn't teach me anything about being a man, I think mostly everyone learns this at some point in their life. Some don't though and it's pretty clear.
Common sense stuff. Also, apparently not what women want. Myself, and many co-workers and friends are like this. Women won't go near us, and always go for the fuckboy, moron, asshole types.

Again, you don't really seem to have any real arguments about what is listed, just that I am a woman.
Yes you have understood my position clearly.
This :)

I don't take orders from anyone, I find your attitude very insulting and quite frankly I wouldn't be surprised if you were single.
Awe cute.
Yes I am a handsome cutie. I'm fucking peng bahahahhaa.
I wasn't talking about you, just that you like to throw bait and hope someone will catch it. LOL
"A man respects the women in his life"
- What about the men? Fathers, brothers, cousins, uncles, nephews, co-workers, friends?
Didn't read. Why bother?
A man lives his life how HE wants, on HIS terms, regardless of what anyone thinks, ESPECIALLY women.
You do not get to define a man.
Than I definitely don't care about this comment if you can't be bothered to read this take... and then judge.
How to be a real man:
1. Follow your own creed instead of stuff on the internet.
2. Stay true to your creed.
3. Do not stop to care about whether others think if you are manly or not.
4. ?
5. Profit.
There's something odd about a woman telling a man how to be a man. You really don't know :/
See: first paragraph
Nice, but the funny thing is that they work the other way around too. Nice Mytake.

You can also look at it in a neutral way without your thought that women can't write about men well, and realise that she is actually right.
Not so long ago, there was a guy posting his list about how a woman should act and what it means to be feminine.
Why is it ok for men to tell women how to be women but if a woman does it, then omg she's a feminist?
Also a man must have codes, honor codes, respect codes, moral codes, etc.. Also ethics and stands up for what he believes in, also a man knows hoe to drive his gf/wife bonkers lol yet knows when to joke and when its time to be serious

Exactly
I'm surprised to find I actually agreed with this. Well
done!
I hope everyone paid close attention to this. :)
So the admins are running a feminist agenda then.
@bobbyxx WTF? What about this is feminist?
Know what, never mind. I doubt I want to know the answer.

@MyExperience perhaps it is best if you just poked your nose out things you know nothing about you out of date bigot.
@bobbyxx tell me exactly how I'm a bigot?
If anyone on this post is to be considered such, you might look in the mirror.
Good take i guess, but it seems that this "Real Man" is not what females in my age group are looking for so ill keep being a dirty, cheating, douche bag for now :)

thanks for the catch

? how to be a real man? i didn't know imaginary men existed? :^)
They do but only in our own little worlds, same with imaginary girls :P :( :)
those are all things I'd expect from a woman too
I would like to apologise for my gender and some their whimsical ideas.
@runchickenrun lol 😂

How to be a real man?
I'm not gonna read this.
You can't generalise what real men are for fucks sake
If you had at the very least read the first paragraph, you would have understood as much.
Common sense stuff. Also, apparently not what women want. Myself, and many co-workers and friends are like this. Women won't go near us, and always go for the fuckboy, moron, asshole types.
