... lol, not that any of that gets you laid, but good anyway.
I hope everyone paid close attention to this. :)
So the admins are running a feminist agenda then.
@bobbyxx WTF? What about this is feminist?
Know what, never mind. I doubt I want to know the answer.
You are an admin and you are defending this take and suggesting we should take note of this. This is sexist and insulting to men. We don't need to be told how to be a man by women. There are always takes usually by the editors, gurus or moderators of this site similar to this. And feminists are always telling men how to be men.
@bobbyxx If you're offended by this, you're going to be offended by everything. And you may not have noticed, but there are plenty of Takes by men about what they want in women, and how they think women should act.
@bobbyxx If you are insulted by this, by all means, explain what offends you here (other than the fact that you're offended that I'm a woman writing about men). I hardly think you truly know the definitions of sexism of feminism. I'm neither advocating for social, political, or economical equality or equal women's rights here, nor am I using prejudice, stereotyping, or discrimination to talk down to your gender. If you stroll through the comments you'll notice a lot of them mention that this take could apply to people in general. Aside from that, I stated from the very first paragraph that being a man means different things to different people, not, this is the only way a man can be a man. These are ways in which the men in my life stand out as being real men to me--and hopefully others relate, and they have.
Mytake owner, you don't need to justify yourself to that guy. He clearly has his own issues he's dealing with. Issues that have embittered him towards how men should be as well as his view of women. I'll again applaud you for putting this in print for the men who want to better themselves in life and love as well as cementing it for guys who already try to live in this manner. Guys who fail to accept women's advice are missing 50% of their potential knowledge.
@MyExperience perhaps it is best if you just poked your nose out things you know nothing about you out of date bigot.
@bobbyxx tell me exactly how I'm a bigot?
If anyone on this post is to be considered such, you might look in the mirror.
Can we get a ban on women defining men on this site? Good take or not, their opinion on the topic is less than a joke.
Meh boring more of that man are this... men dont care what others thinks man should be like... Especially what women think man should be like...
what is this trend of women tell guys how to be men
A real man doesn't allow self-serving women and cuckified white knights define what it means to be a "real man."
And this also applies to women too. But unfortunately, they're not going to listen unless you look like Spartacus or have a six-figure income.
... I don't think women have that much pressure on them.
I don't ascribe to the 'real' man BS.
Go fly a kite.
I might just do that as flying kites are wonderfully relaxing, lol
Whatever you've said applies to all adult humans, not just men.
those are all things I'd expect from a woman too
I would like to apologise for my gender and some their whimsical ideas.
@runchickenrun lol 😂
Wow I have all of these qualities and girls at school still don't like me
A man has no name 😂😂😂😂 sorry this sounded like game of thrones
LMAO!! 😂😂😂
Can a man really tell a woman how to be a "real woman"?
Yes. Imagine a single father raising his daughter and all the lessons he has had to teach her alone on how to do just that. Imagine a mother raising her son or sons. Anyone can tell you anything... but it is ultimately up to you to put them into practice.
So as a father if i tell my daughter that vanity is a sin and a real woman covers up and tries her best to be the least provocative as possible or that a real woman's place in life is to serve men I'd be in the right? Personally I disagree, i don't know all the ins and outs of being a woman just as a woman doesn't know everything of being a man
Also your points aren't very gender specific, most would expect a woman to have the same values
I never write anything and go in expecting everyone to just love it and agree with it. You're a fool or really naive if you think that about whatever it is you have to say that is opinion based. As to the examples you listed, they happen everyday, and some of that could be the way certain women are or are raised to be in certain cultures.
We don't learn anything in a vacuum. Everything I know about being a woman was not given to me just by my own mother, or even my aunts, or other female friends. My dad and the lessons he taught me in his own examples about respect for oneself, pride in oneself, working for what you have, etc. came from him and seeing how men might treat and react to me from the male POV of friends and my sibling.
If this list can apply to everyone, that's awesome. It doesn't make it any less true for men whether I put people, women, or men in the title. My observations and opinions still remain the same in relation to real men.
Thank you for agreeing with my point :)
This should be renamed "how to be a real person"
That's literally what I thought after reading it.
oh, god, finally one great post!
Ha, well thank you. Must be rough out there in GaG land
Great take, not sure why some guys are bitter.
Thank you. I think most guys are doing most of these things already or strive to. This is stuff your parents and mentors, and coaches, have probably told you somewhere in life. I think some guys are just so fixated on the fact that a woman said it, rather than that they actually have any real legitimate problems with what's being said.
Prett much I suppose
A good website on this kind of stuff and more is artofmanliness. com
Very well-written. Thank you for sharing this.
I don't think this OP has the right to post about 'how to be a real man', since OP is a female.
How to be a real man- by a woman
... Yup
