I need advice on my "crush" who happens to be a reserved kind of guy?

Okay, so for a few months now this guy and I have been checking each other out etc but he recently found out that I have a lot of friends and he's the kind of guy who has a few but select amount of people that he hangs around with. Ever since he found out he seems more withdrawn and so I was wondering if he was still interested or not.

Now we've never spoken to each other but we're always giving each the eye contact when we're near one another. The other day he must've drove by and when he got closer to me he had his window down and he looked straight at me for a few secs and continued driving ahead.
He generally has quite a mysterious and quiet thing about him.

Okay so long story short my question is, how do I talk to him? I'm not the kind of girl that would talk to a guy first and he's more on the quiet side and seems uncomfortable with larger groups of people... Help anyone?

i would advise starting small- small talk or crack some jokes near him. sit near or next to him at lunch. just tiny stuff till he seems more comfortable with you. maybe try texting or Facebook messaging him?
