Well it's his girlfriend. I'm not saying what he dd was right, but it love over friendship. If you could either fall and love and live happily ever after or play video games with your bestie which would you choose. I'd say most people would choose their SO
He chose her over you. That's what happens most of the times. They choose the girlfriend that they know for shorter period than you and you are left hurt and alone. These aren't real friends. A real friend would never leave you for any woman.
Because you choose your SO when there's a fight that causes you to pick sides. If you don't you lose you SO.
She probably forced him to cut ties with you. It's stupid because he could break up with her tomorrow but best friends are like family members that you actually get to choose. They have a much higher chance of being a part of your life for much longer.
