I'm 18 and can't grow facial hair...Well.

I'm not a very manly guy, I don't have big muscles, I'm sensitive, and I know nothing about cars.

I know that doesn't really make a man BUT that's not the point.

The point is.. I personally need something to make me feel a little bit extra manly. I feel I'm a good person, I like who I am. But one thing I've always noticed is I don't have a real masculine jaw structure, and I cannot manage to grow facial hair.. I turned 18 last week and could NOT be more flabbergasted. well, I could, but I see kids my age walking around with full beards or whatever the f***. Its just something I've always wanted. Regardless of what everyone says, "its annoying to shave" blah blah blah.

I get some black hairs under my chin and nose, but it just looks trashy, not good at all.

Is there anything I can do? wtf?

Hmm, interesting question. I think that you might be a late bloomer (you started puberty late) or possibly your just not very hairy generally. Fair haired people for example rarely have thick beards. I really don't think though (as you acknowledge) that you need facial hair to be considered 'manly' or attractive. I think you just need a confidence boost and need to look in that mirror and like what you see. You already realise that it doesn't matter. Also take into account that facial hair is a pain to look after. Cutting a moustache evenly is no easy task and if you leave it to get to bushy you look silly. Think carefully and good luck!

Guys mature at different rates. I didn't even begin shaving until I turned 18. By my late 20's I could grow a pretty nice beard. A lot has to do with your family genetics. What do the males in your family look like (Dad, Mother's brothers, etc). Some people just don't grow hair. It doesn't mean you are any less of a man. Nothing wrong with being sensitive either. God has given you a gift that many women would dream of. As far as the car thing goes, you could always lear if you wanted to.

You sound like such a sweet guy the way you are. I'm not even saying this to give you an ego boost (I mean, who bothers when it's just some stranger over the internet?) but I think it's nice you're not the stereotypical "guy," you know? Besides, I -- and a lot of other girls I know -- hate facial hair. I think it's gross. If you want to improve on your physical appearance, I'd say aim for working out and toning up your muscles. That's far, far more attractive than a beard or mustache.

You should just work out so you don't have to look like a big ol' red neck but you'll still feel manly. And facial hair doesn't like that good. Especially not when you have a few dark hairs... it looks really stupid actually.

Oh maybe put some fake eyelashes on your chin... hahaha jk, I know it's not funny, but hey! It's late and I'm tired. =D

I'm a lot like you except I can grow facial hair... but I'm just the same with the whole masculine jaw structure thing. I kinda have a baby face and I hope in time my face gets more mature looking, I'm 19 btw...

so I hope that I'll still look young for my age as I get older, but I can't help but think my baby face holds me back from getting the girls... :(

You will eventually be able to grow facial hair. Everyone starts at certain time my friend was able to grow a beard at like 14 at the same time my other friend who is now 21 still doesn't have facial hair. Relax besides my girls think it looks bad on most guys.

i am in the same boat. I lift 3 times a week. I perform routine maintenince on my car and my moms car, I can set up a computer system and I burp and fart as much as the next guy and I'm 18. I have no facial hair whatsoever either. just shave asap

Honestly facial hair is a pain in the @ss - I hate shaving. You want to feel more manly hit the gym with some friends. not only to you look more manly, but you feel great and have more energy.

Its annoying when I see my friends who are much younger than me with facial hair I'm 25 now and I rely only need to shave about 1 every 2 weeks look at my profile if you want I look like 17

im 25 and still can't I have something called a prolactinoma which has stopped me from hitting puberty, but I will soon now its been diagnosed you should look into it.
