What does it mean if some guy keeps bragging about himself in front of you all the time ?

Here is a tid bit I'd like to know.. What if guys you talk to just throw information you never asked for about themselves ? Especially like how rich they are .. Why do it ? I never asked it in the first place.. Is it just a guy habit

He is insecure... Tell him it's not polite and that you'd like him no matter how much he makes. Mostly guys do that or put each other down to make them selves feel bigger. Some grow out of it some never do... Just ask him to change if not find a new boy... That is my take...
