Okay, so I saw this article—can't remember where—about how, like, boys just don't do the naked thing anymore in locker rooms. Everywhere from high schools to gyms.

Is this true?

In middle school gym, I would wear long gym pants under my regular pants every day I had gym. Then I just took of my regular pants. I guess I was embarrassed of my hairy legs. I haven't worn shorts since about 5th grade, not even in gym.

In senior year of HS when I had to take a gym class again, I started wearing shorts, so I did let everyone see my boxers, but usually I just didn't change out, cause I would ditch the class 5 minutes after he took attendance (what a dumbass teacher).

I'll NEVER forget this one time. I was hanging in a bar on River Street in Savannah, GA. Things got heated, words were exchanged, a couple of less-than-gentlemen were ejected from the establishment. Upon being shown the door, one of them stormed up to the front window, immediately dropped trou, just whipped it out and WHAP! Package against the window. Left a faint outline that lasted a couple hours, at least.

That second picture reminded me of something I have been seeing the gym... guys using the hand dryers to dry instead of towels. And yes, they get right up close to dry their "stuff". Interestingly, it is younger guys.

In high school, guys are petrified of being called 'gay' and so go to great lengths to cover up in the locker room or just don't bother showering.

In the adult world, it's generally old men and douchebags who go around the locker room naked. It's weird, some are visibly uncomfortable in the showers or whirlpool.

Hm. Well, I've seen the gay-ribbing thing, extensively (I had 4 brothers, who never fully realized that I was actually a girl, lol)... but, it doesn't seem that would be affected by the amount of clothing you were (n't) wearing.

I'm from Sweden. Being naked is not that much of a deal here. Especially not same sex nudity. We just don't care.

At a public place (Gym, school, etc) you just strip down, usually put a towel around your waist when you walk to and from the shower and take the shower.

When I was in school. It's not like I'm not going to shower after an hour long gym class and be stinky all the rest of the day.

In the U. S. nobody showers after gym and most people don't smell because of that. I guess we don't play hard enough or something.

Sure, you don't have to be all smelly and stinky. But if you run a few miles during gym class I suppose most people would be sweating at least to some degree, especially during summer?

Guess our cultures are different. Someone who didn't shower after gym class here would be considered weird. And I suppose people in the U. S conciser us weird for taking showers. We don't like walking around with old sweat, I suppose.

Always strip naked at my locker and go naked to the showers, which are usually open. If I am swimming, I strip off my swimsuit the moment I enter the men's lockers, and use the dryer. I go naked after that until dressing for home. We have a television screen in the men's lockers, sometime if there is a good part of the sports broadcast, we stand around naked and watch it before showering. I have lived in several European countries, not UK though but the only pool I used there had all naked lockers and showers.

dont' know about the states, but over here in norway you shower naked, case closed. Anything else is seen on as unhygienic and weird.

At school, the gym... you shower NAKED.

As for the whole locker room deal; you just use a towel around your waist.

Don't know about schools these days, but at the gym it is the "naked thing". Guys strip in front of a locker the wrap a towel around (or not) and go to the showers which are separate stalls but no doors and glass walls. Then leave the stall, quick dry off then back to the locker and finish drying there.

Anytime I have been to the gym though, you still change. You don't just walk around everywhere though.

Sweden. I'd say if you do not shower after physical education in school or after being at the gym then people will pretty much think you're one weird critter.
Special note: If an unusually high amount or unusually intense old people are noticed at the gym it is acceptable to change and shower at home.

I think we did in middle school I can't remember, but 15 years ago in high school which is from ages 12 (generally) through to 16 our school didn't.
Locker rooms in public places are different. Some have cubicles, most you just change in front of whoever is there, but its single sex...
We are generally very reserved about nudity compared to places like Germany and Scandinavia

Until last year I went to school in England where nobody takes a shower and guys are too prudish to take their clothes off. Now I'm in Finland, where after PE or swimming everyone takes a shower, and is naked in the open showers and changing room, and nobody cares even when the cleaner or the PE teacher (both women) come in. The cleaner must have seen every guy in the school naked a hundred times.
