How to show a guy you like him subtly?

So there's this guy thats outgoing and funny. He's seen as one of the "Popular" guys and he's farily confident from what people who don't really know him can see. I honestly think he likes me. His body language tells it all and the way he interacts with me too. However, i ignore him because i'm shy. I don't think he knows that i like him back but surely if he was so confident, he'd be more vocal about it right? Deep down, he seems quite shy with how he can only talk to me when we're in a group conversation and when its just us two, he goes all quiet and avoids eye contact. I don't really know what to do to show him i like him. He doesn't seem that experienced with girls even though he's had a couple of girlfriends before. Its been a very long time too (over 2 years) of him showing me he wants my attention and me just ignoring him. I've made eye contact a few times but i always forget to smile so I never do. I look down straight after a few seconds too which should be a big enough sign right? I've agreed with him on stuff and smiled at him during conversation a few times too. Is that not enough? Whats a subtle way of letting him know that i like him back? he keeps on trying to grab my attention and i can't help but ignore it, i'm so annoyed at myself. Howcome he hasn't given up on me yet?

Maybe next time when you get eyecontact you could try and hold it for a few seconds and then smile a bit. Then look away and after a few moments you look at him again and make eyecontact. Also try to act a little flirty; smile and laugh when you're with him. If possible touch him (his arm or something). Act different with him than with other guys. I'm sure eventually if you keep doing this he'll get the hint and if you show him you're approachable then he'll also approach you more. Just make yourself look friendly and try talk to him. He already likes you so you have nothing to worry about.

Watch out with popular guys, most of the time they are players. However, maybe for the signs you can just smile at him and let him catch you staring at him. But please be careful! I wish you good luck! (:

You nee to put more effort in and Im surprised he hasn't moved on yet. Smiling is important. Eye contact is important.

A subtle way of flirting is to touch him a lot and be around him. Other than showing signs through body language, facial expressions, touching, and eye contact. You have be more direct. That means actually talking with him. But i would just get more comfortable with him so you can actually hold eye contact and smile at him. I think you should try touching him more and laughing and smiling at him so he he has more signs to say that you like him.

He walked up to me and said "hi" randomly once... is that considered making a move? We were in a group conversation the other day and he kept on saying my name way too much and even said "look at me" when i was staring at the table in front of me. He's asked for a high five a few times too so i guess we've touched...

Ok thats good but you need to take it up a notch. Actually show interest in him and touch his arm and give him hugs when you see him. Bring your friends along if you feel intimidated or nervous. Just befriend him and show more signs of interest.

Would it be okay to approach him when he's just walked out of class? Thats when he's usually by himself. Not even my friends know that i like him unfortunately...

My advice is not to show him subtly. At lot of times women are too subtle and we don't pick up on it at all. The more direct you are the better chance you'll have.

Then what direct move would you suggest? i don't really want anyone knowing just in case i've got it all wrong and he's just interested in me as a friend.

You're pretty sure he likes you so just asking him is best. You sound way too shy though so just talk to him. Maybe suggest you guys hang out and do something sometime. See what he says.

Would maybe complimenting him be direct enough? He complimented me once and i returned it but I think he could sense it was forced. I didn't really know what to say.
