Am I being too clingy to my crush?

There's this guy I like at work (I'll call him S) and we're close friends at work and he knows I'm like crazy about him. I get a vibe that he likes me too by his actions. But I really feel like I get on his nerves texting him a lot. I feel like he prefers to talk in person but I still get really nervous talking to him and say stupid stuff. We talk about videogames, music, cars, family, everything. I'm always the one who texts first, but he will usually answer and he will joke around with me too and we have good conversions. But other times I'll text sometimes multiple texts and he just won't answer. His best friend keeps trying to persue me and he just kinda backs off because his friend is the alpha male fuckboy type. I don't like his friend (we'll call him N) at all. But he keeps texting me and trying to do stuff with me he got my number off of S's phone. So S kind of acts kind of like he has really low self esteem and feels like N should get whatever he wants. I've complimented S and he'll say I'm lying. But he treats me really well and he's an amazing guy. He always notices if I change my hair or something, he brags about me to other coworkers, I've had other friends from work say they seen him looking through my profile pictures He's always concerned with my well being , He got this really nice new sportscar and wanted pictures of me in it. I told him he should take me for a ride and he said he'd love to. But then he'll go and act all distant again for a few days. I keep texting him and don't get answers at all. And he'll ignore me at work I don't know if I should stop texting him or not. I've asked him if I get on his nerves he says "no your cool".
I know he's been in a bad relationship years ago ( and she ended up getting with N) and hasn't even dated anyone since. I'm not sure I feel like he might just be afraid to get close to anyone or he just likes being a loner. Or maybe he's gay? I have no idea, he's so complicated.

Also sometimes I text him regarding work and he won't answer. It's weird. And I know he sees the messages cause sometimes I use Facebook messenger through wifi if my cell reception is bad.

Have you talked to him in person/asked how he felt about you? He might be intimidated by his alpha friend... and paranoid about N taking his love interests. Oh and I've met a few guys who don't like texting!! He could be shy too :) Good luck!

Yeah he acts like he wants to avoid the topic.
There was one time a coworker came up to us and was like sorry I didn't mean to interrupt you guys making plans and he turned bright red. I asked him about it later and he was like that guy just makes me nervous (really big dude). Like when I ask him something about us he always plays it off like he doesn't like me.
He gave me a note one time, He said he found it. I couldn't figure out anyone else it might be from so I asked if it was him. He said no it's too pretty to be his handwriting.
He'll change the conversation to N a lot talking about something stupid he did.

I don't know he's adorable when he comes to talk to me. He'll act like he's doing push ups off my desk. He talks super fast and can't stay still except he keeps continuous eye contact.

Aw. :) Now that I think about it... since he works with you--he might be playing it cool so rummors don't develop around the office. See if he wants to hang out with you on a weekend... somehow? I'm sort of shy... and one time had a crush on this guy at work, but didn't make it obvious. I don't even rhink he knew I liked him lol. Maybe S envies N? If he pretends to do push ups/talk fast... that's a good sign!! ha

Well it's been 5 days and he hasn't answered any texts nor talked to me in person. I'm so worried I scared him of. Should I be straight up and ask Him what's going on? I get nervous goIng in his office cause it's open with no privacy and he shares it with another guy that's in and out.

Shoot! That's not great news. First... try texting him, just text "Hey"... if he replies ask him how he feels about you (in person) when the other guy isn't there.
