i have been best friends with this guy for five years. Our relationship has been a bit rocky and I think at times we liked each other more than friends. Recently he has been hanging out with this girl who is the same ethinicity as me. She is very trashy and even looks trashy and she has a boyfriend she treats like crap. It was my birthday and the night before he went to a hotel with her and another girl and got wasted. The next day saying he was "sick" and couldn't come. I got mad saying he was just hungover and it was really rude of him to stand me up on my birthday. Why is he doing this? He has pushed away every guy who I've ever gotten close to and then he stands me up for a girl who is honestly not attractive and swears/curses and drinks a lot. He was posting snapchats of her the whole night. And then even the next day wouldn't reply to my messages even though he was online. He has known me for five years. I feel terrible, he replied saying it wasn't even my birthday. But it makes sense to celebrate it on the Saturday prior because my birthday is on a Monday.

He has a right to move on, I get that it hurts, but he is 'just' your friend after all so maybe he's trying to find something more than friendship and he can't have you and that at the same time.
