Guys, We chatted for 2 weeks, He hasn't asked me out yet?

I met this guy on a dating app. We exchanged numbers and texted each other everyday. He works the 12 hour night security job and i work shifts. rotating from 9am - 10pm. So its hard for us to meet. I've made it clear to him that i find him attractive. He always initiates a hello and goodnight. .

8 August he told me its his off day. I said its my off day as well. and that i have no plans for that day. He said he will be overseas. The past few off days. he went out with his friends. So he's not into me?

P. s i asked him when we can meet and if he wants to. he said yes and he will let me know.
so what am i missing here?

Just be patient, he said he'll let you know. If he doesn't get back to you in a timeframe that you think is reasonable with no good excuse on his half, then he's not for you.

it has been 3 weeks. and this week he said he already made plans. itll reach a month soon. i think maybe he's just not that into me?
he hardly text during his night shift anymore. he texts in the morning after. and response takes forever.

Unfortunately by the sounds of it, he's not really into you. If he was, he would have been considerate and kept some of that free time he has this week to factor you into it. His lack of communication and the delay for him to reply isn't fulfilling your expectations of how someone interested should act, and I think you're right for feeling that. I think it's best to stop talking to him. Some people just won't tell you that they're not interested, which is as bad as being ghosted in my opinion. If someone doesn't chase you as much as you do them, it's probably a sign to find someone better.

i actually did told him how i feel. and that we should stop texting all together as it is clear he is not into me. Immediately after i send that message. now he's replies are coming in much faster. he said "if he has free time he will most definetly text me" which he has and now he asked me out for dinner tomorrow. so now what? should i still find someone else? Ouh and the "dinner" tomorrow is taking place after his course and going to work. the 2 hour window. im not sure if he just wants to fill in his time. or really interested in meeting me? It's hard to be sure what he's really thinking or what his motivations are. But what I do know is you expect someone to be more involved if they want to date you and he hasn't been so far (for whatever reason). It took him being told not to text any more to make a change. That's great that he's listening and trying to make a change, but is it a lasting change? Well if he's finding time to text you from now on, he likely had that time before too but now is feeling forced to text you more I think. I think if someone wants to date you, they're going to make sacrifices to find time to text and meet up with you. I think you gotta focus on two things: 1) What you want from a relationship and if that's being fulfilled and 2) If you really like him more than just his appearances. You should base your decision off that in my opinion. It wasn't looking good before. If you do accept his dinner date, then I think it's his last chance to make a good impression as well keep finding time to text you.
