Why would he hug me twice in a row?

I started wearing warm vanilla sugar perfume to school. It smells like vanilla, obviously, and is quite discreet, unless you stand close to me. I put some on my wrists and on the back of my neck, where it's known to last longer. I gave him a little gift from P. E. I and he thanked me, gave me a hug then hugged me once more in the next minute. Do you think maybe it's because he really appreciated the gift or he wanted to inhale my scent, (if that isn't too weird)?

Well hugging someone when they give you a gift is normal, but I don't see how there is any reason to hug a second time unless you want to. He probably wanted to hug a second time and just felt like the gift was a good excuse to do so. As to the scent, all I can say is that some girls smell awesome, so sweet and feminine. It could have a played a part if how good the hug was.
