What does it mean when he says "leave me alone"?

My boyfriend was acting completely normal all day! Around 10 i called him before bed to say goodnight. He didn't answer. Then I went to take a shower, etc. 20 minutes later I look at my phone and he texted me "I dont wanna talk rn, im sad" and i said "noo talk to me whats wrong?" Then i called him again. Then he texted me "I dont wanna talk okay" and as I proceeded to continue calling him he said "please leave me alone". Then he stopped answering my texts completely. This never ever happens, if something is wrong, he always will talk to me about it. Thats why i kept calling him bc he used to always answer and talk to me about it. How should i feel about this? Im really upset he won't talk to me about it and now im over here super concerned about it. And now he probably thinks im crazy and annoying bc i called him so many times. But I didn't know what else to do, i am the type of person who loves people around when im upset and i hate being alone. And i never wnat my boyfriend to be lonely or anything i just wanted him to talk to me. Or at least for him to say like "everything is okay, i just dont wanna talk rn" so at least then i am at peace that he is okay. How should i feel? What should i do in the future? Is he mad at me, or does he just want to be alone rn?

the guy is probably going through something that he feels is alittle too big for him, and its stressing him out. Now im sure you want to do something about it, sometimes just being there is all thats needed. telling him you're concerned about him, and you want to know why he's acting this way would be the best way to go. also telling him, like, you love him, and you'll give him space to figure it all out, and you're still thinking of him.

Well he probably doesn't want you involved or worried about it. He just wants to figure it out on his own, simply give him time and space. It's his own issue and must be really big obviously.
I would say wait till he says something or tell him that you'll be there if he needs you. Also don't get mad at him for doing this, like I said he just doesn't want you to be in his problem and worried

I understand you're worried, but maybe he thinks it's something you can't help with, but would drag you down too.

Just text him, that it's okay, if he doesn't want to talk, but if he changes his mind, or needs anything, you'll be there.

He means leave him alone, exactly as he said several times so you should respect his request instead of making his sad time about you. Just try again tomorrow, everyone processed emotion differently

Because he may have never had whatever has happened happen before. But something has, and if you can’t think of anything to do with you then likely it isn’t

Usually when people ask to be left alone it means exactly that – they want to be left alone. I know that you are worried, but you should give him some peace. He’ll talk to you when he’s ready.
