He blocked me on fb but still texts?

I've been fuck buddies with a guy for a couple months now. I'm moving away and we've both been pretty bummed because we have gotten so close, but he's taking steps to move on (he has a date tonight). When we first met and started sleeping together I did the usual social media check to make sure he was sane, but never added him. Now that I am leaving I want to stay in touch so I looked him up on facebook to add him and he was no where to be seen. I asked my friend do a search and he showed up immediately. This obviously means he blocked me. I went to his instagram and it was set to private. I sent him a text just saying hey and he responded and acted like nothing had changed and even tried sexting with me! I don't know why he blocked me. Why is he still texting me, but shutting me out of social media?

He has told me that he doesn't want to see me up until I leave because it will be hard on him. That he's fight to not get too attached. I get that. I just don't know why it's ok to text, but it's not ok for me to see his fb. It was like a stab in the heart. I almost feel like he doesn't actually like me now. Like it's all been an act.

Ha! No worries. Maybe you're right. This is so damn confusing. On one side he could be trying to disconnect to save himself from getting hurt, on the other he is trying to shut me out of his life because of this new girl. I'm kind of afraid to find out the truth. If he's shutting me out because of her that would crush me. I guess I'll just have to pull away, stop texting, and move on.

Don't worry its not your fault because majority of women and minority of men do the same.
Majority of women because they naturally wired to not be able to keep feelings and sex separate.
Of course there are exceptions.

I thought he had feelings because he said so much; that I was the best relationship he's ever had despite how short of a time we've know each other and how hard it is on him that I'm moving, but it doesn't matter now because he is blocking me out of his life like I am some crazed stalker. Sad when you think you'll know someone forever, then suddenly you're nothing to each other. Thanks for your help.

Its good when you think you'll know someone forever, but then suddenly you're nothing to each other because thinks cease to be the same when you add sex to the equation in the form of hookup or friends with benefits.

We started out as a one night stand, that turned into exclusive friends with benefits, and now this mess. But yes... sex does complicate everything.
