Why do guys act like nothing happened after a fight?

Recently, I got into a fight with my guy friend. I think he got mad over me because he thought I was dating someone even though I wasn't. So he ignored me for a few days and I did the same. But then yesterday he suddenly texted me talking about music and acted like everything was fine and there was no tension in the air. I was so speechless so I didn't text him back instead I kept him on seen zone. Is my act correct? And why he's not mad anymore? Why did he even get mad?

Why did he even get mad indeed. Perhaps he likes you or has a crush on you. Regarding the fight, some people deal with fights like that, they give it some time and after a while they're not mad anymore and just move on from it. Or he just realized he had no reason to be mad and so he isn't. In any case, don't leave him on read, that's rude, as far as I see it. At least let him know that it's weird that he just suddenly is back to normal

Guys burn fast and hard but briefly.

It's evolution. You could get mad at a guy in your hunting party but if you held grudges you'd never catch the next prey.

Guys who could quickly move on from an argument, we're better hunters, caught more and were more successful breeders. Their genes for getting over shit, spread through the population.

See guys who may like you feel jealous when another guy is making a move or you’re trying to make a move. Guys get frustrated when they can’t tell you how they actually feel without the feeling of jeopardizing your friendship. Same for girls we get jealous when that guy who’s been our friend for years and we always had a crush on them.

Because men get over things and move on while women drag it out and old grudges. Back in high school, I had a fist fight with a guy in the hallway, we both got suspended and all that. The next time we were back in school after the suspensions were over, we were bullshitting and laughing in the hallway. We ended up in the same social group and later became good friends. That’s how men are. A woman will have something as little as an exchange of words and keep the hatred for 20 years.
