My boyfriend and I have been dating for about a month and a half and yesterday was my birthday and I received nothing from him. About a week ago he asked me what I wanted and I did say I did not want anything just to see him. I didn’t want to ask for anything because I didn’t want him to have to buy me anything but I still figured he would at least get me something. So he told me we would go out for dinner on my birthday but I told him my family is taking me out and he could just come with us. In the morning he wrote me a super long and sweet text telling me how much he cared about me blah blah blah and happy birthday. So I went to school and he had a baseball game after school so we waited for him to get done and he came over and we went to dinner. After we ate we came home and had cake but I wasn’t feeling well so we just laid on the couch and watched a movie. I was kinda sad that he didn’t get me anything at all, not even candy or a drink or a card or anything and I know it isn’t because he doesn’t have any money because he works and buys things for himself all of the time. I just don’t understand how he would just not think to get me anything at all.
