Pinning down girls and tickling them? Why do some guys like control so much?

So I have a really close guy friend who will very often start tickling me when he gets (playfully) angry with me.
Now, this can mean anything from casually tickling my sides, arm, legs etc as we talk, or to suddenly tickle me really hard where I can't help but laugh and squirm like crazy, or playfully grip my wrists so I can't fight back, to even escalating a few times where he pinned me on the floor by sitting/straddling over me as I'm on my back, and tickled me until i'm struggling and laughing and almost pleading with him.. the whole times he's laughing/playfully threatening me

Now, I've known him for years now and we're really close, and I've actually brought this up with him a few times and asked him why he's constantly doing this. Eventually, one of the things he mentioned was that having the other person underneath him gives him a feeling of control that he likes, and I thought that was really intriguing (as well as, admittedly, attractive somehow..). I suppose he is kind of a control freak about people who are close to him, and has said himself that he tends to be possessive as well

but basically, I'm really curious about *why* exactly control can be so desirable/enjoyable for some guys, what that feels like, what's going through your head if you've ever done something similar to what I've described? Any and all insight would be appreciated ♡♡
