If you like it, and you feel comfortable, who cares what 'they' say? Are you a cheerleader, or just posting that as an example? Cheerleaders are kind of REQUIRED to wear ribbons and bows, and it's part of being a cheerleader! Don't over-think it, and just like what you like, and be who you are!! The ones that are true friends will like you because of you, and the ribbons and headbands are maybe just part of defining who you are, as you?

I recently spoke to my teenage sister about this topic because she was being harassed by a "friend" for looking too childish. I think it can be both sexy and innocent depending on how you wear it, however, my advice is to tell anyone who harasses you for the way you dress to fuck off because you will wear what you want to wear and their opinion doesn't matter on the subject.
Wow, they're dumb for saying bows are for children. People like that are often bitter and miserable. I wear headbands. Many women back in the past wore that on the regular basis, and even in some conservative cultures do. It's neither cute or sexy because it's about what YOU think of yourself. Not to please people.
I wear headbands, The are great for the summer heat. Also how do you act with your attire. I like to dress accordance to how I want the world to see me.

Still wear headbands - have several in various styles, colours, widths, etc. I've got beaded headbands, brightly coloured headbands, jewelled headbands, plain headbands, all sorts of headbands. They are a really pretty hair accessory and I use them regularly.
If you like ribbons & bows and headbands in your hair, then wear them in your hair. It's your hair!!

It is childish and clear that you have not yet grown up to develop a mature adult style. Be mindful that not all guys would want to date, have sex with and marry a woman who dresses like she did when she was a child. Your style may need to evolve even if you choose to keep wearing headbands and ribbons.
Sounds like you've heard a lot of critiques. If you are firm about what you like and determined to sport your style, be yourself and do it. It might look a little young when you're 40, but do you care? It doesn't matter if you're happy.
It is okay to wear ribbon it make you like your own identity. Sometime like your own fashion statement. Do not be scared let your fashion style flow out
