What goes through a guy's mind when he stares intensely?

I was about 30 feet away from him outside talking to my coach and there he stood just looking straight at me seriously making me uncomfortable (on purpose I bet) everybody loves this guy to... He is an extreme athlete so I sorta got flattered but then kinda wanted to run away at the same moment... He just stared intently straight at me. Plain as daylight... What was going through his mind?

He was undressing you slowly. LOL Kidding.

IMO, he wanted to tell you something but was juggling thoughts between wanting to do it and risking looking like a total idiot/ asshole or just letting his feelings/ thoughts be. What he wanted to tell you may or may not be a good thing so be wary of assuming. And if staring persists, go up and ask him what's up. You might just be surprised. :)
