Do guys pretend to forget details?

so my guy friend (that I like) has really good memory. and he usually remembers so much about me. he'll remember the tiniest details that i'll randomly mention during a convo that have only been mentioned once or twice. but he won't remember something like the make of my car, when we've gone over it literally 5 times. even in the beginning when we became friends, he would I think, pretend to forget my name (I know this, because a few days prior, he said my name aloud during a group dinner... so clearly he knew).

do guys do this as a form of teasing or what? or he genuinely forgot these things about me? sometimes it makes me think he doesn't even like me like that bc of how he forgets certain things.

I think he actually forgot. Things like details about you and your life are part of you, therefore, important. The make of a car... unless there is a specific reason that he should remember and that will continually come up, it has no importance and will be easily forgotten.

bit of both some stuff like being blank on things but the remember soon after... but also your guy friend also could be tying to be funny... he's also a idiot if he does think it's funny

No we do not... we simply just forgett. Or lets say we will think about it in some point but mostly my girlfriend talks about it before i think about it again
