Older coworker play fighting considered flirting?

Would you say it is flirting when an older colleague "play fights" (bumps body) and teases? I am 28 and he is in his early fifties. I am very much attracted to him but I can't figure out if he is flirting or not. It drives me crazy! I am afraid to make a move, maybe I am misinterpreting his behaviour.

That's inappropriate. Uninvited unnecessary touching at work can become a big problem. What do you want with him? Ask him to lunch or whatever if you can. Very low stakes, then you can see how it goes.

For example, we were on a company event last week, and with the current COVID situation our boss instructed everyone to keep distance from each other. However, the event took place during the night and alcohol was served, and we both got a bit drunk... He began touching me more than usual and repeatedly playfully "bumped" his body into mine, and also slapped my ass with a book. I don't know if he was "just drunk" or if he actually is attracted to me.

If you like him, dont be afraid to put yourself out there or ask him how he feels. You miss 100% of the shots you dont take.

Or you can play it less directly and see if he wants to hang out sometime and get coffee or something.
