We‘ve been together 5 years and I kind of find it annoying anyways when he does it but I found it disrespectful that he done it infront of her too and then blamed for calling him out. Am I overreacting? I feel like when situations like this happen I would want to understand both sides rather then just telling me I am straight up wrong for calling him out.

To get psychological about it, it sounds like he's mentally stuck in an early childhood stage. Like those people who always chew on stuff like straws, people say they're stuck in the oral phase or something like that. Constantly holding your balls is something children do, not well-adjusted adults.
