Why do guys keep a girls number in their contact but never contacts them?

I notice that guys that I used to date or talk to will still have my number save on their phone when they stop talking to me in general. I will get a random text from them like a 1 or 2 after they stop talking to me. Wonder why guys do that with girls they used to talk to and dated.

It could be a few things. When I was younger I kept them because I knew if I called them up they’d be ready to go. Even if I hadn’t talked to them in a while, so more so cause I knew they’d let me screw them, or even just head. The other reason is I just never cleared out my contacts. I have like 400 contacts of which maybe I don’t talk to about 50 of those, just not worth my time cleaning it up.

1 or 2 as in, AM? They are drunk dialing. As for why they keep them I can only speak for myself… I seldom ever delete anything.
