Guy's Behavior

Boyfriend went to bars with friends last night. He was texting me all day the next day, which is unusual for him?

Alright, so this is kind of like beating a dead horse since I just broke up with him, but I had to ask this. So my ex-boyfriend went out with two of his friends last night. He was continuously updating me throughout the night and sent me a snapchat (so like a pic of him at the bar). I went to bed at about 0130 and he texted me at about 0330 that his friends and him had food and were going back home. So I wake up the next morning and I start driving (I was driving from another state to him since I had left with my friends for two days on a small vacation) and he wakes up at about 1030 and sends me a pic of him sleeping on his couch. He then proceeds to tell me that he will go to his friends again at another house to watch a football game. My suspicions arose because he usually does not update me this much on anything. I arrived at my state at about 3pm, at which time he picked me up and started telling me stories of the night before. He was telling me how he almost got this one guy killed, how he made one of his friends go and talk to a girl and various other stuff. However, he was really descriptive, which he never is and then he was like "that's all we did last night." I then started getting upset because he was trying to hook up one of his friends with the girl I mentioned before. Keep in mind, I am insecure, which my ex-boyfriend hated, which led to the fight that broke us up yesterday due to my insecurities. Do you guys think his behavior was suspicious? The next day he was texting me a lot, which he never does and the fact that he gave such a long-winded description of anything. In addition, he was really happy to see me that day, which he normally is but he seemed REALLY EXUBERANT. Thank you for your help!!!

I might not have made it clear, but he became my ex after that night. We were together while he was out, but apparently I was so insecure the next day that we had to go towards a break-up.
