This guy in my work started texting me, saying he loves me and we'll just about wants to do everything with me.
But here's the thing, I have noticed, he's not flirty with me at all like he is with other woman.
He'll tease and play around, joking with other woman, but with me,,,, he's not like that. I have read many sites about how men act when they are with woman that they like,,,, but with me (whom he says he loves) he acts... serious. I don't get it. I want him to flirt with me. So cos I was getting mixed signals things didn't work out between us and now he is back to teasing and flirting with my work collegues. Which he never done with me.
Am annoyed, but am glad I never let it get serious cos I don't think he wasn't serious with me.
Am a little sad that as soon as things flopped between us, he was so quick to start staring up my work friend. Sigh. What a turd.
So can anyone explain the mentality of this guy?
I'm older than him so maybe he saw me as a safety net. I'm 9 be years older.

I think so too. Since we only see each other at the work place, he is very wary how he is with others being around, but yesterday staff was very few and he was seeking in hugs from behind!!! Which he never done before. Maybe cos I deleted our messenger and told him I didn't want anything to do with him. Yesterday I told him I was jealous and he laughed and told me I was being silly. Then he told me he only likes me. Hmmm.

Yes, yes and yes,,,,,,, he is a tease. But deep down I think he has deeper feelings with me perhaps. He shared a secret with me yesterday at work and gave me sneek hugs from behind, told me he only likes me, and when I told him I was being jealous he laughed, said I was being silly. But he just couldn't keep his paws off me, even tho I basically told him the days before to go take a jump. Haha. It's like, if I stifle him he pulls away, so then I end up pulling away and then he smothers me!!!
