This guy [20] and I [19] have been in communication for nearly a year, we've met in person, and it's long-distance because he's in the military but we haven't talked about what we are.
Out of all the guys I've dealt with, he is the only one who treated me the best. We fell out for a few months but reconnected and sorted things out. Since we reconnected, there is something going on with him every week. What I learned from dealing with him is to match his energy.
Three weeks ago, he was going through it and I took it upon myself to be there for him and let him know I was. I checked on him daily and we had a few deep conversations which had never had a deep conversation before this.
The week after that, things got better. He was calling me multiple times a day and sending me more texts and even sent a good morning text and said goodnight. He was being really nice to me and it was unusual because he isn't the affectionate type and I was thrown off completely. So, I mentioned to him that he was acting differently in a good way and that I liked it and he said "well, let me be nice to you."
Fast forward to this weekend, he changed again. This past weekend we played phone tag. It seems to have bothered him because when we finally did talk on Sunday, he brought it up a couple of times and I can tell he had changed. I asked him if anything I did bothered him and he said no that there were other things going on but did not want to talk about it.
This week, he didn't text me or call me as he did before. So me not knowing what the problem is, I sent him a text letting him know I am here for him with no response. I asked him about it and he said he is not used to stuff like that and didn't know how to reply. The next day, I called him and brought up that he has been acting different with me and he didn't really talk about anything with me. And is distant now.😕
I'm confused asf about what's going on here. Any ideas or advice on what I should do?
