If a guy, 30, jobless mostly dates girls on tinder that are 21-23, is that his preference or because of where he’s at in life?

I’ve been in my head about this situation with a guy.. do not want to go into details. This guy is jobless, just graduated this last year but hasn’t found a job and is broke and in debt. He’s turning 31 soon. If he’s meeting up with girls on tinder who are 21-23, average looking, (they’re not smoking hot young babes) is this because girls his age aren’t even looking his way? Or is this because he wants young girls specifically? Could it be either or? I have been viewing it as this guy is out for young blood (nothing illegal or bad, just saying) and it painted a different picture in my head of him (not a good one)... but could it be that he’s just trying to hookup with whoever he can get and it just so happens they land in this age range? Does this make sense?
I like analyzing people’s behavior, especially those in my life and maybe I read this guy wrong

I think this guy is someone who doesn’t know how to take responsibility of life. Both relationships and jobs. He will have diffıculty in having relationships rather than hook ups. I think he meets with girls whose age range 21-23 because they haven’t figured out their life yet and in the same condition with him. So He can get along with them more easily. Or He thinks that He can play with or deceive girls in that age range more easily.
