What does it mean when he always wants me to keep his shirts?

I started seeing this guy casually who likes to leave me his shirts. When I try to give them back he says I can hang onto em for a while. He recently asked to keep a jacket of mine I just bought (oversized) after trying it on at my house. He's also taken a t-shirt of mine. He most recently left me a new shirt of his too. Does this mean anything? Or am I reading into it

The old joke about girls borrowing their boyfriend's sweatshirts doesn't exist only because of lower quality in women's clothing; clothes that a person wears frequently smell like them, and the added weight and warmth make it feel like a hug that never stops.

Supposedly, it's VERY effective at engendering strong feelings.

In part, but it's not as manipulative as that makes it sound. It's like any other behavior to make a person think fondly of you. Remember that humans are animals, but not unthinking beasts- biochemistry pushes us, but it doesn't control us.

Some guys want to have something of their partners, they want the smell that is from that significant other and think you want the same. He probably misses you a lot when you guys aren’t together.
