This is regarding my friend's parents:
Both are good martial artists. Yet he still acted protective (ex: hugging her when walking together late at night and making her feel safe) when she was his girlfriend and even now as his wife, he acts the same.

They taught their daughter (my friend) their skills too. She can also handle herself but her father is still protective over her too. Even though the guy is 6'4; both her and her mother are 5'10. That's still tall for a woman. So biology doesn't change much even if the woman can hold her own physically and is strong/tall herself?

Yes and no.

you are protective but you also respect the other persons ability.

For example, ex girlfriend, she was an instructor in kickboxing etc, and fought in competitions.
A few times when we were out, there would be a situation, I had the option of stepping in or letting her handle it.

i know 99% of the time she had it covered and had put a few guys on the ground.

Most guys if not the majority do not expect all out instant aggressive attack from a girl, it’s the impact energy that takes you out, not if it’s got boobs or not.

However when we were out I was protective in general and did the usual walking interference stuff.

Also the other side to it, is it often diffuses the situation quicker if it’s a sarcastic wife, girlfriend or daughter talking to the arsehole you would normally have to interact with.

Yes I am protective of my girlfriend, daughter, ex wife and friends, it’s a natural thing, equally I know they are protective of me and have my back.

Facepalm.. You don't seem to understand basic male nature. It's instinct to protect those that we care for. And here is the rub, the world's strongest female martial arts person still cannot hold a candle to a male in the same sport. Just like there are no female runners that have broken male records, no female body builders that have broken male records so on and so forth.

Realistically a lot of men could still over power a female even if she knows martial arts. She would have to be very very good for it to make that big of a difference. They have MMA separated by weight and gender for a reason.

True. One of the few exceptions can be Ronda Rousey. She's very good. Yet she can still be overpowered by her male counterpart. But still, she can do great against average Joes.

Any professional MMA fighter could beat most other people in a physical conflict. That's why I said she would have to be very good
