You work with especially a boss and especially if you like your job because it always seems like when that happens then all the sudden you get together and then if there's ever a break up one of you going to lose your job I can tell you two really great experiences that I've had
But I've watched many people do it and is both of them get fired or one of them quit
They have a camera on them at all times to make sure they are being polite to the customer. Any faults in their character then they get in trouble and ultimately fired. I used to work as a cashier and the camera was always pointed at me. There was no time for flirting. I wasn't even allowed to greet my family at checkout because it was forbidden, but this was back when Kmart was still around. Thank god it's gone.
You mention drive-ins, so are we talking about McDonalds and KFC here? I can't think of any good reason why they wouldn't be allowed to flirt.

I don't think there's an overt rule, but yes, flirting on the job us generally considered inappropriate.
Maybe their not allowed to flirt with minors no offense to you or your age
You are supposed to be working and not trying to enhance your social life. Do that on your own time.
Rules against flirting with customers never stopped women from flirting with me.
So i guess that's not the issue.
Yes, your there to work not hit on people, plus its the rear of the customer feeling uncomfortable and reporting them.
