My friend's fiance just texted me and then unsent his messages. After I sent "?", he said sorry. It's ok I said. Then he said he accidentally texted me instead of his friend. It's ok I said again. Then after 2 mins, he apologized again. I didn't answer to him. Then he went through my profile and liked an old post of mine. Then, after some mins, he texted me again and said "please don't tell anyone that I accidentally texted you. I don't want my fianceé to find out cause she is going to ask why did I text you & what did I text you". I said "ok I won't tell". And he replied with "thanks. You're so nice!". Ok good night I said, and thus ended the convo.

Well, I didn't like this tbh. I thought about this, and said what's wrong with my friend finding out about it? After all, it was an accidental message. But then I thought he probably didn't want her to feel bad cause she is sick now, and in the hospital. But then again, there's nothing she could worry about. Am I overthinking this situation?

No of course I would never get involved with him. She is my friend. I wanna know if him trying to hit on me is true or is all in my head & I am overthinking it.

It's not all about him wanting to hide the thing from her. It's also how he tried to continue the apology to keep us talking. Anyway, maybe I am taking it the wrong way. I stood out of this from the very beginning. My friend never suspected on him cheating on her. So that's why I asked this question here.

Yes, I didn't act on it. I let it go. I figured it was nothing and if he does anything else in the future then I'll tell my friend.

And speaking of him being stupid to hit on his fiance's friend? It wouldn't surprise me. I have heard many cases. Boyfriend hits on his girlfriend's sister. Husband hits on his wife's niece. It's common in here.
