Why does my male coworker tell me of my mistakes in work?

The work that we do in my workplace is pretty manual with data inputting and I recently have been making some mistakes in my workplace that my male colleague in my team has pointed out and told me about just (he doesn’t tell anyone else each time just me)

Though each time it seems like he isn’t is more annoyed with me even though I haven't been in the business for long (between 6 months but less than a year) Does he hate me or does it seem like he is deliberately looking for mistakes that I make? Or am I reading too much into it?

Are your mistakes causing more work for him or anyone else? It may seem like he doesn't like you, but it can be frustrating to watch someone make mistakes over and over that have an impact on more than just the person making them. I would call anyone out on their mistakes to first make them aware and second to help them stop making them. If they are still making them it becomes annoying, especially if they have a crappy work ethic to begin with. Not saying this is your case, but if you're making the same mistakes over and over you shouldn't take it so personal, he may be trying to help.

No I haven’t I was just worried I guess that I was annoying him

Sadly not no it was only a cold really but it gave me a bit of a headache just so my concentration went down

Lot of things can make us make mistakes at work. Lot of time those things are hard to manage. Fine balance or balance for that sake is very important sometime it can be achieved by calling in sick or taking a step or two back which most people over look and head in charging.
