We were trying to get back together, it turns out he was speaking to other girls in that time. What do I do?

Hello,

My ex (M26) and I (F25) broke up due to severe family disagreements, narcissistic abuse and gaslighting from his part in Dec 2021.

In mid Feb 2022, he reaches out saying he’s had time to think, charted to a few other girls and realised we’ve made too many memories in 3.5 years. He didn’t want to “give up” and “regret” things later on in life. He told me he’d deleted dating apps and that he would fight for us to get back together. I believed him.

Today, with my own eyes I’ve seen on his Instagram that he spent considerable time in March 2022 chatting to girls he’d met on dating apps. Asking them to meet up, offering them cuddles and generally just being thirsty. Some of these girls were also people he told me not to worry about in the relationship, I reached out to one girl, she confirmed he matched with her on Hinge in March 2022 and that they’d been talking extensively. From what I saw on his Insta, he’d been speaking to girls from Jan through to April - hence the concerning overlap of timelines. There’s even an instance where we’d slept together and the next day he was asking for another girl’s number…

He told me he’d deleted the apps, that he wasn’t speaking to anyone and that he was serious about getting back together and giving things a real shot. But why would he be chatting to a handful of girls after saying this to me?

I’m so defeated. I don’t know what to do. Please help me?
