I used to have a Reddit account where I would vent about many problems in my personal life. I obviously wanted no one from my friend group to find out about it because I held nothing back when making these posts and if one of my friends were to read them, they would probably be offended and find out some information I don't feel comfortable with sharing (past psychological problems, family drama, etc).
There's one guy in my friend group who's also got a Reddit account and can be really nosy. When I mentioned I made a Reddit post in a sub, he was quick to ask me which sub it was on I he could find my post and my account. I told him straight up "I don't feel comfortable with sharing my account". He didn't say anything and I thought it ended there, but I was wrong.
Yesterday I mentioned to him I got some really negative backlash because I posted a meme on a youtuber's sub. He asked me who the youtuber was and I told him, thinking it was no big deal. Today he and another guy came over to my place to study. He then casually mentioned he had found the youtuber's channel, went on his sub, scrolled through the feed, found my meme and then went on my profile. I asked very seriously if he read my posts, to which he replied "no, of course I didn't", but later wrote on a piece of paper, so the other guy wouldn't notice, the name of a subreddit where I would post frequently and looked at me in a really funny way.
He then snuck in some comments about how I shouldn't share personal information on Reddit and indirectly mentioned some situations I described in my posts. The moment they left my house I deleted some of the posts that mentioned him (obviously not by name), in case he hadn't seen them yet, and created this new account. I honestly feel my privacy was violated, as I'd told him I didn't want to share my account, but he went through the trouble of tracking it down for no good reason I can imagine. He just wanted to be nosy again, nothing more, nothing less.
