So met this guy a month ago, on a similar project. There were long gazes and smiles, solitude walks, deep talks, mutual fascination, he always came to me in a crowded place, always noticed me... We exchanged few texts and he feels motivated to continue communication with me, asked for some interactions by the end of month, wants to read my translation etc.
Today I met him again, he acted differently, awkwardly. He avoided looking at me, he looked distracted, looked on a run. I was talking with a friend, but he kept wandering around us, we did not talked much, but looked at me from afar and telling with eye movements that he was going outside.
We still had a chance to talk. He apologized to me for not paying attention (but lol he did not have to at all), he said he was on his hangover from drinking yesterday. We were in a group, but had a personal conversation. It was that time when he asked the crew (7 people) to have a coffee together, and some declined, so he gave up (did not ask me individually, i did not say anything, because it was his friend group). Friends sometimes smiled at me. Before he looked clumsy, but then he suddenly started to act like a child and playing games with them, being goofy (not with me, i even felt like he did not notice me but I don't know if it's intentional or not).
I feel it's unnatural and something is going on, i don't know why he suddenly acts so awkwardly and acting like i don't exist (acting confident with everyone and suddenly becoming social with everyone), and then talking with me on personal things and being close. Do you think he likes me and is trying to hide it?
You can express the opposite as well. Just don't want to have wrong impressions, but I do feel like there is something intentional that he is doing. It felt like he was annoyed by me today for no reaskn, but I always felt warmth before.
