Why does my teacher think I like him?

so i am freshman in collage and i have this teacher who has a big ego he is always bragging about himself. and one thing about me is i have problem making eye contact when i zone out and i do it with everyone. it happend couple of times with this teacher, yesterday we were doing assignment in group and he was standing by the board and we made eye contact, he smile and tap my soulder

it was weird then when class ends he told me stay because he wants to talk to me then he said word by word "i am preety sure you are interested in me" i was like wtf? he then said "out of all people i know you really like me" i freaked out because i really hate him i tried to convince him but he left smiling

what should i do? i don't know how i am going to attend my next class because i don't want him to think i am in love with him

should i talk to him and explain myself or should i just ignore it? i need help

go to the office and talk to someone about it that is so unprofessional do it fast before it gets out of hand and see about taking another class

Stay close to your friends in class, let them know and make jokes out of the teacher.

I'm not sure if I understand everything in detail, however, because someone says something you do not like and they are "your Boss" doesn't mean that you quit working... or let them have any real effect on your sleep or whatever. Good luck with it.
