Am I in the wrong?

So I had an interview coming up and the guy I've been dating wanted to help me out. Whilst it's a great idea, he is pretty pushy on doing it at spontaneous times, like mid way through a conversation he will stop and suggest we do it. This was over the weekend on a Saturday and tbh, I wanted to chill. I suggested Monday evening and so we agreed. He said we'll discuss it then. Monday comes, I'm working an he is at home. I messaged him at 5pm an we spoke at 6. He asked me if I was preparing for the interview. I said I will be after I've eaten, I wanted to relax an eat prior to getting into it, since I'd been working all day. Anyway, it's 7:15 and he is suggesting we do it at 7:45pm, I said it's unreasonable as i need to cook an eat. I also mentioned that we never plan things properly.
Anyhow, we've had a massive fall out over it. He basically said I should be asking him, when he is free etc, he always tends to criticise me saying I never prepare enough and his tone goes all high pitched an patronising. I've explained to him that he needs to be less critical of me an support me by making me feel good about things then constantly nagging me. He also does this when I eat carbs or I say illgo for a jog and then dont. We haven't spoken since. I'd like to try and resolve things but he kept shutting it down.
What do I do
