He's dropped off the face of the earth it seems?

My ex friends with benefits from 2 years ago and I hooked up last weekend. It was a bad breakup. We had something great and intense he just said the timing was wrong 2 years ago.

We didn't speak for 2 years but I decided to reach out. Anyway he came around we hooked up but it was different to how I remembered it. it wasn't bad but it wasn't particularly good sex. He finished quickly, it was one sided of me pleasuring him, I didn't finish and he didn't try to go again. It was all just kind of awkward. I thought it was the same as it had been before and he'd just been selfish in bed. I think I should have maybe made him feel less bad about him finishing quick when he asked but I just didn't say anything really. He left not too much later saying he was tired and that he had to be up early the following day.

If it wasn't for what im about to say I would just assume he hasn't changed and its better left in the past but- before he was immature (we both were) he didn't even want to hear the word relationship, he could be kind of a jerk. But this time he wanted to take me for dinner before we hooked up but I missed the hint, he talked about relationships and said he needed a girlfriend and that he wanted chat and catch up with me. I played it all wrong. I dont want to get hurt by him again and I went in there assuming he wouldn't have changed. I was a bit snarky and in answer to him saying he needed a girlfriend I responded 'I agree but im not the girl for that' to which he looked kind of disappointed. The whole evening was kind of just awkward misses and me being too guarded, but the truth is I had missed him and wanted to see him. I apologised on the Sunday for how I behaved and explained I was nervous to see him and it was coming out in the way I was behaving but I asked if he wanted to go out for dinner somewhere nice. He never read or opened the message and it'll be a week on Friday since we actually spoke. What do I do? or do I just leave it?
