If a guy keeps bitching about you to his friend does it mean deep down he still likes you or can he hate her to talk about her so much?

Not an ex but they were on the verge of dating then she just gave him breadcrumbs. Now he is ignoring her (me) and apparently he's constantly bitching and talking about me to his friend that doesn't like me either. Can this consume their evenings about it like really? So why would a guy spend his energy bitching?

He's got strong feelings about you. Some of them are good. Some of them are bad. I do not know the ratios of those two.

I actually think he hates me though. They are strong feelings of dislike because I think he feels I led him on and he thinks I'm a waste of time and now he's just bitching

You can hate someone and love them at the same time. It's super easy to do.

Sure. But when you're angry that you really wanted to date someone and it didn't happen... it's usually not just hate. It's a whole bunch of emotions.
