So, him (35) and I (24) would talk daily. Then it kind of faded out but he'd still always reach out first. It was always him reaching out first. Anyways, it got to a point where he'd randomly stop replying mid conversation and stop replying to me (no, it wasn't a boring text. I'd make an effort to carry on the conversation). Anyways, I got tired of it and stopped talking to him. He then messaged me again but I didn't reply... two weeks went by and I didn't hear anything from him. Now he randomly came back. Thoughts? What's going on?

There is no good analysis that can come from this. There is nothing hidden and no good assumption that come from this. It seems like normal behaviour to me. I don't see any indication of romance here though. And it is wrong to assume he found some one. He probably is just not interested in you romantically or, he is just busy.

Take it at face value. There is absolutely nothing to read off this.

I think so. I mean there’s a slim chance something else is going on but men all pretty much think the same. My first thought when I read what you wrote was that there’s someone else. If that person leaves him or whatever the case may be then he will come back to you trying to get on your hood side again.

Maybe make a joke about the lack of a timely reply and try to pick up the convo from there. Then If it's not working just leave it and move on maybe?

I don't know tbh, as you said the conversation was starting to dry up before he stopped replying midway. It shouldn't go past that point really. Try again to find a spark and make it last if you feel this is the right person. Texting is way different to IRL tho.
