This guy just someone i just known but we went to the canteen and my crush happen to see now he avoids eye contact and doesn't smile much as before at me.

He seems little distant but we was just walking to the canteen together and back talking nothing serious why did he do that? and me n crush only spoke few times he offeredd help leaving his station asked few things about me but I don't know if he does like me

First of of all, unless you are very familiar with someone, "whatsup" is a dead end greeting. You need to great him in a way that gets him talking to you. Perhaps try something informal like, "Hey, how are you doing?" Or "hey, how has your day been so far? " you can actually improvise. What ever way you greet him, just make it something that demands a response. Not "what's up?" He will just tell you nothing or even tell you the sky and continue walking then you won't have anything to say back which will put you in an awkward position.
