lol he mainly ghosted me sorta and I posted a thirst trap ( a selfie of me on Instagram) and he liked it found an excuse to talk to me and his friend told me that my crush told him that he wants to go to the movies with me. Why so sudden out of nowhere? I thought he liked another girl?

I remember once in October I asked to go to the movies with him he told me his mom said no ( I don't know if this was just some excuse bc he didn’t want to go with me) but now he wants to go with me? I’m so confused
