Is this a snap chat lie?

I have been dating a man and ever since I added his number in my phone … in my snap his name appears with a woman emoji for the snap photo. People you can add on snap that’s in your phone contact list. So I clicked on the snap that was his name and under the name you can have example … sunflower-868 . Well … this was a woman emoji with his full name on it and his daughter name under it. He asked him and he said that’s not his and will report it. Then after that … it just disappeared. Hmmm I have kept asking him about it and he said I don't know, it’s not mine. This was a month ago. So today he told he could our at his open house his fair here teacher from last year made all the 6th grade kids snap chats on the computers at school and that teacher is now fired for this. Hmmmm? Really? That I don’t gotta worry anymore. He acted so concerned about it but never told me when he found out cuz it’s prob a lie right? I said what’s the teachers name who did that and who got fired for doing this? He said … I don't know that teacher was from last year. I said can I have proof on all this? If you had a meeting Monday at her school about it ans you were so concerned about it… why don’t you remember this teachers name then? After that he blocked me. So this was a lie right? Why in the world would he lie about this? Note … he made a fake Fb account a few weeks ago and lied about it with me.

The way you went about this was not the best choice. Just very accusatory and nailing him with questions making him guilty without proof. What’s done is done and you can’t take that back but if you get the chance then you either should trust him or don’t. Sounds like you struggle with some trust issues which aren’t fair to put on him.

The thing is … if it was true why couldn’t the proof just been shown right away? I don’t believe in lying or hiding things with in a relationship. That’s not a relationship. People are so afraid of just coming out and being honest.

I agree 100%, there’s no room within a relationship for lying or hiding things, and I also would not accept those things from a person. With this situation though, it just seems like you treated him like a criminal without good reason. Some parts of what you wrote were hard to understand, I think it was just some typos, so feel free to correct me if I’ve got this wrong. But what looks to have happened is this: you saw a Snapchat come up with his daughters picture, you asked about it and he said it wasn’t him, he would report it and it disappeared. Then he found out a teacher from his daughters school was making Snapchat’s for all the kids and got fired. You want the teachers information/name, or proof that this happened, and he had nothing to offer. Right? If so, where you went wrong was asking him over and over about the situation, then asking for proof that a teacher made that snapchat, etc. But why does it have to be a big lie if he doesn’t remember the teachers name? Or if the snap account got deleted after he said he reported it?

He has lied about something similar in the past is why. I feel like if he was so concerned about the snap deal with his daughter… he would of remembered this teachers name from Monday in the school meeting about it correct? Wouldn’t anyone?

If he’s lied in the past, then honestly it makes me wonder if you may still have some trust issues from that situation. What I always say to my friends is that after a while, you know your man. So if you genuinely feel like he is being dishonest and this is your woman’s intuition speaking, then you’re probably right and shouldn’t ignore it. Personally I couldn’t say whether this is a lie on his part or not, I was mostly referring to your delivery in this situation and it just seemed like a lot of hammering at him with questions and as a result, making him guilty when he may not be at all. As for with the teacher, it’s one thing for him to be very concerned about the Snapchat situation, his reason for not remembering may not be so far fetched. He said it was a teacher from last year, I don't know if that means the teacher did this last year and now it’s being found out and teacher is gone, or what exactly. But maybe he just isn’t good with names. I for one need to hear certain names a few times so that it will connect with someone’s face, if that makes sense.
