Do you think that getting back at someone without any warning is petty?

I just want to know what you all think. I had an issue in the office before I went fully remote where one of the girls in another department would always make nasty comments accusing me of being creepy and being obsessed with her. Her desk is right next to the utility closet where we keep spare servers and other equipment that we often use. She thought that because I had to walk behind her a bunch that I was somehow trying to creep on her and sneak peeks at her. Her corner had all women working there and they wouls always laugh and look at me weird when I walked by.

At first I didn't care, but once I realized I was going to start working remote anyway, I decided to raise hell. She took a picture of me and put it on snapchat and circulated it to a lot of other people in her department. I actually got hold of the picture and someone screenshotted her calling me a creep on snap, so I called her out in front of everyone and got her written up too. She didn't get fired, but they had conduct training afterwards. I also set her password to expire one day earlier than usual so she gets locked out of her PC and looks like a dumbass when she forgets to change it early. People were saying I went too far and shouldn't have embarrassed her and that I should have talked to her first. But honestly fuck that. The same thing should have applied to her first, right? Anyways I still feel like 3% guilty, so I'm just looking to see if I was the asshole in this situation or not.
