Co-worker friend texting my crush?

So there's a new girl at work. I had told my close friends that I like her. we talk at work sometimes, did not exchange phone numbers yet.

Recently I found out one of those friends started texting her not too long ago (saw the messages myself, he does not know that we know). He hides the fact that he is texting her. Whenever her name pops up he says she is all yours I am not going to come in your way.

What may be some of the reasons for anyone to act like this. I am trying to get him to just tell us the truth. I also said I am not interested in her anymore so that he would feel comfortable talking about it. I'm okay with him shooting his shot but not like this.

He is not your friend. He is snaking his way into her life, there's no other way to put it. Don't even bother trying to get into confess anything... his actions speak for him and I suggest you keep your business away from him or anyone else that can pass the word to him. If you're interested in the girl... let her know, make a direct move don't bother befriending her or anything because while you're wasting time the other one is going a step further. Let your intentions be known you want to get to know her to possibly date her.. if she's interested then she'll reciprocate BUT if she treats you like an option, texting the other guy while getting to know you, MOVE ON.

Why don't you confront him directly about it, I don't see you getting your way any other way.

He's your friend right, then you should be able to talk to him about it.

Although all in all, I feel like you shouldn't be caring about this, you're being oddly nosey at this point.


It's just a crush and you're a grown ass man, don't always why you care so much about it to this extent.
