Guy's Behavior

Do you believe men single out some women due to jealousy and/or self hate?

Like men that gossip or complain only about certain women for doing something or wearing something or whatever that a group of women are doing or wearing.

Ex. At work if a group of us are new and I make a mistake it gets talked about and dragged out. Any other woman makes the same mistake once or even more than once, it's brushed off and no complaints are heard.

Sometimes, most of the time, it's not even about the other woman's attractiveness to the guy. It could be someone that's hideous and they're not attracted to but for some reason they don't get shit from them.

Another example would be me looking nice and acting like my normal awkward self or just happy like the average person. A guy could try to take me down a peg by commenting on how I think I'm all that or trying to find a flaw to point out. Yet another woman could look frompy and act like she's on top of the world and the guy has nothing to say about her.

Where does this come from and why do men do it?
