Why do old guys tell me I"m pretty / beautiful but never try to get with me?

I'm 26 and I have noticed that young guys never ever talk to me at all. they either act like they don't see me or aren't interested. Old guys in their 40s-50s would call me "hello beautiful" or tell me I'm very pretty , talk to me a lot but they will never hit on me or pursue me. So far, only 1 old man has pursued me but he was a pervert. Vast majority of old guys dont crush on me like the younger guys. They talk to me but young guys never talk to me.

Younger guys may not approach you because they think you’re out of their league and they probably lack confidence that comes to guys later in life. Older guys with more confidence have no such issues but you do have to watch out for the creepers.

most of these old guys who talk to me , are single dads, married men or have kids. None of them ever asked me out.

Maybe they think you’re taken. A lot of older guys love to date younger women. Maybe you could take initiative and ask them out? 🤷‍♂️

i honestly think only perverted old guys go for me. decent ones don't because they know we would have very little in common

i can't grow old with someone who is already old. thats why i don't date significantly older.

It's a possibility they don't hit on you because they see you as too young. Most of the time us older guys actually have some manners. If I was single I would most definitely talk to you and there's a good possibility at flirt with you as well

i thought so too. There is this guy in his late 40s, single dad, who lives in my building who is always delighted to see me and loves talking to me, calls me beautiful a lot. But its all just friendliness. He never tried to hit on me. He never seemed like he had a crush on me or had any further motives. Maybe he just thinks I'm a kid. A lot of old people refer to us as "kids"

That’s because women over 25 no longer have the upper hand. The older women get the more baggage they carry. Young girls have less emotional damage.
