But I am dating someone new (we became official recently) and apparently my ex is asking my friends to show him what my new boyfriend looks like, and asking to see pictures of him on his instagram. Why is he asking?
He wants to compare himself to see if you upgraded or downgraded from him. It's a pride thing. Plus most people are curious to see who their exes date
He's clearly jealous. And is hoping you couldn't "do better than him."

There’s no need to go down that road, it’s counterproductive and distracting. Focus on your new boyfriend.
